Encounters

Encounter (s) is a series of paintings where Del Valle creates “snapshots’’ . There is something going on in them, a certain mystery, something to interpret. You never see people, but they are there. Many are interrupted images, which continue be- yond the frame, something is happening.

In each one you sense a story and presence. The paintings make us feel as if we were voyeurs against time. We are mere observers of that painful mania of thinking about what could have been or what never was, what lasted and what didn’t.

“Paintings with a surreal, naive and disturbing touch” (Rafael Pérez Hernando, Director of art Galery Rafael Pérez Hernando, Madrid Spain)
